Neuchatel Xamax have been deducted four points by the Swiss Football League for violating licensing regulations.
The SFL confirmed on their official website that their disciplinary commission had deducted the club one point for failing to pay their employees' social security contributions in August and three for failing to pay salaries, social security and accident insurance contributions in September.
The SFL said they had already fined the club 20,000 Swiss francs (approximately £13,600) in November for license violations, while two more cases were still open.
The deduction drops the team from fifth to seventh, however, the club have the right to appeal the findings.
